sex reminds her of eating spaghetti
so... i'm listening to all of these mixes i made when i was freshman and JESUS CHRIST. no wonder i was so depressed...what is with all this stuff? "songs to slit your wrists to", thats what.
and some of them really don't even make sense, like, at alll. the most recently played had bright eyes, ben kweller, nada surf, mandy moore, fifteen, at the drive-in, hanson, brand new, the cure, reel big fish, imperial teen, bjork, saves the day, billy idol & sneakerpimps. i had no "flow" skill, obviously. its kinda neat, though, because i had forgotten about a few good bands. i still have about 7 that i havent reviewed yet
enough about that...in more interesting news, i attended my first "house party" last night. i didnt get off work until after nine, so we got a late start to murfreesboro and the original party had already been busted. as soon as we got there, jonzee joined us and we headed over to some other guys house who was having a birthday party... he was reeeeeeeally high/drunk/whatever and he kept insisting that we come inside to hear the "awesome dj" who apparently had his heart on the table. i was successful in my attempts to avoid that gory scene, but soon found myself to be a victim of a far scarier "party experience". since i was the only one not drinking/smoking/whatever,i decided to occupy myself with a nice roly-poly that i had saved from drunken stumbles. two different shady guys came and sat with me, making fun of my buggy friend and insisting that i accept a beer although i kept telling them that i a.) am underage & b.) enjoy sobriety. they eventually got impatient and lost any charm they might have thought they had, so i made a swift escape, claiming i had "lost something somewhere i think". jenna was completely smashed at this point, so i drove us back to jonzee's and a small army had congregated in the backyard. i spoke with a few people i kinda knew and then took a seat on the less dirty couch and managed to get a good 30 pages done in to kill a mockingbird. (its only the fourth book on my summer reading list.) i talked with will about dorm life and he managed to get me completely horrified at the thought of it...yeah, thanks, and jonzee & i fought over how to spell his dog's name (i say BRODY; he says BROADY. i know i'm right). we were going to stay overnight to allow jenna to sober up so she could drive us home. i was in no mood to attempt the 70mph speed limit that exists on 840. i can barely reach 50 in 55's, so you can see my problem with this. well, thanks to all the bands/groupies staying at the house, i was bed-less and grumpy. i eventually sucked it up and decided i could handle the drive if it meant a few hours of sleep in my own (or bobby's) bed. it took me approximately TWO HOURS to get home. and most of it wasn't even my fault. jenna first insisted (through her drunken haze) that we find a mcdonalds somewhere in town. that took FOREVER, then i had to stop twice on the side of 840 so jenna could then proceed to throw up that meal and a few others. i made one stop of my own, at food lion, partially because i had to pee & partially because i needed creamer. i got to see tj, billy, & elsa (aka: my favorite food lion employees besides the obvious). poor tj lost a good ten minutes of work thanks to my sleep deprived rant about drunks and 70mph speed limits, but it was a good break from the stress of driving. who knew something so common could be so terrifying?!? anyways, a little after 5am, i made it to my homesweethome and i made jenna crash in my room so she could sleep off those trillion beers she sucked down last night. GOD! and people wonder why i dont want to drink or do drugs! i think i'm going to start a government program where every person in the world has to be sober and hang out with/take care of a handful of drunks. i think that would solve our problem with the war against drugs. (ha! suck on that, nancy reagan!) all in all, i think i've discovered that the party scene is not the amanda scene (how could i have not seen it before?!?) although i did have a little bit of fun last night.
moral of this story: just don't drink or do drugs. it is that easy, kids.
well, golly, that was an extremely long post, but i guess it will work for that whole memories thing. i'm off the listen to ninth grade music and clean the living room.
good day to you, sir
